Course Overview

What is this course

The ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Civil Engineering is a UK-accredited, advanced qualification regulated by Ofqual. It is designed for senior civil engineers, design managers, and project leaders who are responsible for planning, designing, and delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK construction and engineering sector.

This qualification develops high-level expertise in structural design, geotechnical engineering, transportation systems, hydraulics, construction materials, and sustainable engineering practices. It also strengthens leadership in project finance, procurement, risk management, and large-scale infrastructure delivery, including highways, bridges, tunnels, water systems, and rail networks.

The course aligns with key UK legal and professional frameworks, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, ensuring safe and compliant engineering design and delivery. It also reflects important requirements under the Building Safety Act 2022 and environmental legislation such as the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, supporting responsible infrastructure development.

Widely recognised across the UK, this qualification is aligned with Eurocodes, NEC4, and ICE standards, and is equivalent to a UK master’s level, supporting progression into Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and senior technical roles.
