Course Overview

What is this course

The ProQual Level 4 and Level 5 Combined Diploma in Law is an Ofqual-regulated, UK-accredited qualification designed for individuals seeking a comprehensive understanding of the English legal system and substantive areas of law. This combined diploma integrates both Level 4 and Level 5 content into a single programme, providing a fast-track pathway to developing legal knowledge required for paralegal, legal executive, or law degree progression routes.

The course covers essential areas of law including the English legal system, contract law, criminal law, tort law, land law, equity and trusts, public law, human rights law, European Union law, and legal research methods. Learners develop practical legal skills including case analysis, statutory interpretation, legal writing, and problem-solving techniques applicable to real-world legal scenarios.

The qualification is fully aligned with the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is benchmarked at Levels 4 and 5, equivalent to the first two years of a UK bachelor's degree in law (LLB). It is recognised by employers, law firms, and professional bodies, providing a clear progression pathway to the Level 6 top-up degree or Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) preparation.
