The NOCN Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is a 24-credit qualification with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 240 hours, including 144 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), including a minimum of 8 hours’ observed teaching practice. This may be delivered part-time or intensively over a period of no less than 5 weeks. Trainee teachers must achieve all 22 credits from the 7 mandatory units and 2 credits from a selected elective unit.
