  • A Level 2 qualification in any discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is recommended.

Detailed Curriculum Structure

The ProQual Level 3 Award in Environmental Management consists of 1 mandatory unit "Environmental Management" Total Qualification Time 30 hours (20 GLH) and Candidates must complete this.

Learning outcomes:

Understand the principles and practices of environmental management, including the legal and regulatory frameworks governing environmental issues.
Be able to identify, assess and evaluate environmental impacts of different activities and operations.
Develop and implement an environmental management system that meets the requirements of ISO 14001.
Understand the importance of monitoring and reviewing environmental performance, and be able to use appropriate tools and techniques to do so.
Understand the principles of sustainable development and be able to apply them to real-world scenarios.
Understand the importance of stakeholder engagement and communication in environmental management, and be able to develop effective strategies for engaging with stakeholders.
Understand the concepts of life cycle assessment and be able to apply them to different products and processes.
Understand the importance of environmental auditing and be able to conduct internal and external environmental audits.
Be able to evaluate the environmental performance of suppliers and contractors and develop appropriate strategies for managing environmental risks.
